“The driver was late to pick us up due to traffic which is understandable however we did book it for a specific time. We then heard that our driver was in a car crash in the parking lot so we had to wait for an additional driver to come and pick us up. It was over an hour after our initial pick up time. “This trip was a disappointment- we spent 8.30am till almost 1pm basically on a big bus stopping once or twice for not much more than a bathroom break and souvenir shop, then lunch at a very average onsen restaurant- very little insight or history from our guide. The last hour or two were better on the rope way cable car and ‘pirate ship’ on the lake - but I could have done those two things easily just taking the train from Tokyo. If you like spending a whole day on a big bus, then this tour is for you.”
