“The hike was very nice. Since we went on a rainy day there were almost no people and the secret path up turned out great. It‘s a bit steep and slippery sometimes, so you need to be careful. Otherwise a wonderful experience I can highly recommend. Thanks Makoto for the nice trip and pictures.”

2.Hiroshima Local guided Hiking Tour&Open-air Tea Ceremony

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 213 reviews · from $109Top rated

Morning hike in Hiroshima’s Futaba Mountains with shrines, forest bathing, and an open-air Nodate tea ceremony over city views.

“Nara was a fantastic tour guide who gave in depth histories and explanations about Japanese customs. It was very very hot our day of the tour but she made sure everyone was well hydrated on our way up the mountain and took frequent breaks for us. Forest bathing was something we had not done before but gave a new and appreciative way to experience nature. It isn’t necessarily a difficult hike, with only about 500ft of elevation gain but the stairs and trails are very well maintained. Experienced hikers will call it a breeze, newbie hikers will still have a great time.”
